Master of the Maryland District:

Master Emmanuel ‘Paul’ Jones, Sr.

Paul resides in Harrisonville, Maryland with his wife, Sandy. They have been married for 35 years and have 2 children: a daughter, Kristin and son, Paul Jr. (who is also a 4th Degree Knight). They also have a son in-law, Ezra Sr. and daughter in-law, Arti. Paul and Sandy have three grand children, Alexis, Aryn and Ezra Jr.

Paul has been an Information Technology professional for over 30 years working in the banking, manufacturing, health care, publishing, printing and defense environments. He has served in various capacities in computer operations, software development and engineering, project management and currently as a program manager for Star Communication, Inc.

Paul was invited to join the Knights at St. Charles Borromeo Council #3960 in January, 1995. He became an active member and was elected Grand Knight for the fraternal year 1999–2000. The Council achieved the Star Council Award during his term. He transferred to Mother Mary Lange Council as a charter member and currently serves as Grand Knight. He is also a member of the 3rd degree team.

Paul is a Past Faithful Navigator of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Assembly and an active member of their Color Corps.  He was the Secretary to the Master of the Maryland District under Former Master Carl Roberts and the Provincial Secretary to the Vice Supreme Master of the Calvert Province (appointed first by Charles Gallina and reappointed by his replacement Ralph Rossi).

Paul has served as Picnic Chairman and Warden to the State Deputy during Romeo Gauthier’s administration.  He was appointed District Deputy for District #17 under Past State Deputy Dick Sherbert when he started Mother Mary Lange Council #13573 and became a charter member. He served as Poster and Essay Chairman under Past State Deputy, Ronald B. White. He then served as the Memorial Day Mass and Founder’s Day Chairman for Past State Deputy, the Honorable Edgar D. Haynes, KCHS.

Paul was appointed Special Projects Chairman by Baltimore Chapter President Carl Roberts.  He was then elected Marshal, progressed through the chairs to President and is now a Past Chapter President.

In addition to the Knights of Columbus, Paul is a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Randallstown, Maryland. He is an Usher, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, 8th grade C.C.D. teacher, Chairman of the Service Committee, member of the Holy Family Conference of St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Stand Coordinator for the Protection of Children and Youth.
